Shell Malaysia first to have green retail fuels stations in Asia Pacific

KUCHING: Shell Malaysia yesterday achieved another milestone in its ambition for a greener future by being the first in Asia Pacific's retail fuel industry to be awarded the Green Building Index (GBI) Certification.

Two of its stations, Shell Damansara Jaya and Shell Taman Connaught are now recognised as 'green buildings'.

Dua stesen minyak Shell diiktiraf sebagai 'Bangunan Hijau'

Shell Malaysia telah mencatatkan satu lagi sejarah dengan menjadi industri peruncitan bahan api Asia Pasifik pertama yang menerima anugerah Persijilan Indeks Bangunan Hijau (GBI) semalam. Dua stesen miliknya, Shell Damansara Jaya dan Shell Taman Connaught kini diiktiraf sebagai 'bangunan hijau'.

Dengan pengenalan kategori baharu Peruncitan Bahan Api dalam Indeks Bangunan Hijau, penarafan hijau Malaysia bakal menggalakkan pembinaan dan bangunan mampan, ia sekaligus membuka jalan bagi dunia bahan api untuk memperkenalkan lebih banyak penyelesaian mesra alam di stesennya.

Celebrating the sixth anniversary of Pope Francis' pontificate

A dinner reception to mark the sixth anniversary of His Holiness Pope Francis was held at the Vatican Nunciature (Vatican Embassy), March 13.

Representing the Malaysian government was the Honourable Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry of Malaysia who proposed a toast to His Holiness Pope Francis, followed by the playing of the Pontifical Anthem.

Green Building Index course to bring green knowledge to Sarawak

KUCHING: The first Sarawak Green Building Index course will be held at the CIDB Convention Centre Sarawak from tomorrow until Saturday (March 7-9).

Organised by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) and the Malaysia Green Building Confederation (MGBC), the course is in support of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg's green initiatives.
